Barrels can be cut and threaded to a standard length or a custom length to match your rail or muzzle device.
We always indicate the barrels off of the bore rather than the outside and check thread concentricity, thread class, and suppressor alignment after the cut to ensure it was done right.
We can open up the gas port to your specification or we can recommend one for you based on the configuration and your intended use. There is no extra charge for this and we can make recommendations based on previous builds whether you are running a suppressor or not and what kind of ammo you run.
As with every modification service we offer, our cut and thread service comes with a free, 17-point inspection of the barrel before any permanent modifications are done. This includes things like checking headspace, gas port size, muzzle and throat erosion, etc. An inspection sheet detailing these checks and any measurements taken will be returned with your barrel and if we catch any issues we will discuss them with you before taking any action.
The price is for a stripped barrel, however if you need us to handle assembly and disassembly there is an extra charge of one hour of gunsmithing, or consider combining it with our Assembly and inspection service for 25% off. This discount applies to any value added barrel services like pin and weld or gas block pinning.
