Pin and Weld Muzzle Device

Our AR-15 Barrel Pin and Weld Service will bring your 13.7″, 13.9″, or 14.5″ barrel up to the 16″ minimum required for a gun to be considered by the ATF as a rifle. This service permanently attaches the muzzle device to the barrel, which extends its measured length and keeps you from needing to use a pistol brace or paying the tax stamp for an SBR.

We torque and time the muzzle device to be straight with the barrel, drill and install a pin that engages the barrel steel, and weld over the pin to prevent removal. If the muzzle device to be used is a suppressor mount, we use a Precision Armament washer for alignment instead of a stack of shims.

You should be aware that after the AR-15 barrel pin and weld is complete, you will no longer be able to remove the gas block or barrel nut. Be sure 100% you like the rail you will be installing because it is costly to change your mind later. We also recommend using a high quality gas block that wont leak or break such as the Forward Controls Design GBF

If you are looking for a good muzzle device, we recommend the Forward Controls Design 6315KM  for 14.5″ barrels or the SOLGW NOX for 13.7′ or 13.9″ barrels. Not sure if your muzzle device will achieve the required length? Just ask!

In order to pin and weld your muzzle device to your barrel, we will need the following:

• Barrel
• Barrel Nut
• Gas Block
• Muzzle Device
• Suppressor if you are wanting us to double check bore alignment after installation of the muzzle device. We don’t charge extra for this but it may affect shipping costs.
