This service is temporary closed. This will give our team the opportunity to finish all current work orders. Once the current books are empty, we will open them again for a limited amount of work orders at a time. This should help us provide a better turnaround time for this service, as we will be able to finish every batch completely before we start another. You can join the waitlist to be added to the next batch and we will contact you when the service is available. Feel free to email us at support@trajectoryarms.com with any questions.
Our AR-15 assembly and inspection package is designed to give you the quality and attention to detail you expect from a factory rifle while still allowing you to configure it to your needs. Factory guns are built with a given set of parts and designed and tested as a system and they often work well. Most people want a gun that is a little more customized to their needs and that is where problems may arise. Between the thousands of manufacturers making parts for this platform and their varying levels of tolerances and quality control, the AR-15 platform is becoming less like “Legos” and requires much more fitting to make it run well.
Whether you are sending in a completed gun or having us build for you, we dive deep into every detail of your rifle. Our AR-15 assembly and inspection package is meant for anyone who will use their gun for work or as their bedside gun where reliability is paramount, but who doesn’t want to invest thousands of dollars into gauges to inspect it themselves. If it absolutely needs to run just like any kind of life saving equipment, this service will tell you if your rifle can be trusted and will give you the information you need to fix it if necessary.
This service will go through full disassembly, gauging, and proper reassembly by an experienced armorer as well as test firing with our stringent proofing standards to verify proper function. We will give you feedback as to any improvements that might be helpful such as changing buffer weights or identifying incompatible parts.
If we find any major issues that will require extra parts or modification, we will contact you to make a suggestion of how to repair it. You can then choose whether or not to have it done while its in the shop. We will never pressure you into anything, and only offer what is needed to fix the problems found during the inspection and assembly process.
Before sending in a build, we recommend contacting sales@trajectoryarms.com if you need any help selecting components, especially when it comes to the gas system, BCG, barrel, or buffer system. We can usually save you money and headache of having to return incompatible or poor quality parts. We never rely on a company’s reputation for our recommendations, only on a proven track record of quality we have gathered from our extensive sample size of repairs.
This service takes several hours to perform and includes the cost of test ammo. Lead times are currently around 8 weeks but can fluctuate based on demand.
Here’s what’s included in the AR-15 Repair and Inspection service:
- Report of every component that has been checked, a pass/fail grade, and any remediation steps that were taken if needed.
- Actual measured values of critical dimensions such as firing pin protrusion, gas port size, etc.
- Includes our BCG service
- Full auto proof testing after inspection and assembly to verify functionality
- Suppressor alignment check if we have the suppressor model here or if you send yours in.
- Gas system and buffer tuning based on ammo, suppressor, and intended use of the rifle. We tune for mixed use or even dedicated suppressor use.
- Input regarding any improvement or changes that should be made to fit the intended use of the rifle.
- Most necessary repairs performed during the inspection such as barrel dimpling, minor thread repair, fitting, etc are included in the fee. Most “bolt on” modifications are covered as well.
- 25% discount on any additional services like gas block pinning, pin/weld, barrel chops, etc.
- No extra fees for test ammo, shop materials, and small single use items like roll pins.
- Sprinco ejector and extractor springs (except on specialized bolts. Armorer will replace based on need)
- Fresh detents and springs (except action spring) as needed.
Some of the things we check include:
- Overall function

- Function of all controls
- BCG efficiency, assembly, and alignment with upper receiver and barrel
- Alignment of upper receiver, barrel, gas block, and rail.
- Receiver fitment
- Torque values and assembly technique
- Gas block or FSB fitment and alignment
- Chamber, bore, gas port erosion, rifling condition
- Muzzle and Throat erosion
- Much more, contact us if you have any questions!
We are able to fix almost any issue that arises. From over-gassed guns to cycling issues, our rifle repair service will help out. Although we generally suggest sending a part back for warranty if possible, we are capable of performing the repairs where warranty, time, or convenience wont allow. We can also give you objective data to aid in your warranty claim in the event that a manufacturer is wrongfully rejecting it.
**This service is currently only available for direct impingement .223/5.56, 6mm ARC, and .300 BLK rifles only. Turn around time can vary on the complexity of your build and any issues that are found or modifications you choose to add. We can do similar inspections on other calibers or on large frame guns for an additional charge.
**After your purchase, you will receive a confirmation email with instructions on how to ship. You will be charged return shipping at checkout which includes up to $2500 in insurance. Please email us at support@trajectoryarms if you require additional insurance.

The description alone doesn’t do the service justice it really is a very comprehensive and detailed inspection and assembly service that you would almost expect to be something that a very reputable manufacturer would keep in house or something similar to what would be done to a custom 1911 the service is immaculate and on top of that a detailed packet is included in the price and given to you showing in detail how everything gauged , fit together and test fired if you intend to have a gun built or want to keep tabs on your personal defense AR this service is a must and is setting the new industry standard while being openly available to everyone which gets very understated

I am elated with the experience that I had with Mr. Bohl and the crew at Trajectory Arms. I sent my rifle parts to him for a complete rifle inspection, gas block pinning, and complete assembly. I trusted Mr. Bohl with my rifle parts, worth several thousand dollars, but more importantly, I trusted him to inspect and assemble a rifle that I can rely upon. Mr. Bohl and Brenna remained in contact with me throughout the process, even adding and swapping parts from my bin to appease my indecisiveness. I happened to be local to Trajectory Arms when my build was completed, so I stopped by the shop to pick it up. I am a very picky and detail-oriented individual, so I was incredibly pleased to see that it turned out magnificently. Mr. Bohl showed me his build checklist, which includes specific, detailed notes about the process, measurements, and any corrective measures taken to ensure a fully dependable firearm.
After having some sub-par experiences with other gunsmiths in the past, I can truthfully and wholeheartedly assure you that you WILL be grateful to have Mr. Bohl and his team at Trajectory Arms as your armorer.

Alex does an absolutely amazing job! I had purchased all gen 3 Noveske parts, a Noveske NQR 13.5″ quad rail, 14.5″ Afghan mid length barrel, lower parts/pins, bcg, all Noveske parts for a 14.5″ Aghan build. I had Alex put it toether and he did his inspection and assembly service and I also had him polish the feed ramps. My Noveske AR feels excellent and I know its been maticulously put together and will work as it should. After the 1st day at the range all I can say is it definitely shoots far better than I do! My groups at the range were sub moa at the 25, 50 and 100 yard marks. Exactly what a Noveske barrle should do when done right! He is an excellent Gunsmith and I couldnt be happier with his work! I have almost all the parts for another 14.5″ upper and I’ll definitely have him put that one together as well. Thank you Alex!!!

Alex and his crew are awesome at what they do. Stay on top of communicating what’s going on, spend as much time as needed in each order to ensure it’s perfect before leaving their hands, best service in the industry hands down. Alex even called me personally to explain my cycling issue and how they fixed it which really sets them apart from everyone else in my opinion. Cannot say enough good things about them and will recommend them to everyone. Keep up the awesome work ?

Absolutely first class work. Everything that can be checked is checked for proper tolerance and fit. Could not be happier with this upper Alex built.

This was my first time sending anything out for service. I sent them my 13.7 for a Full inspection and P&W. While there I decided to get my lower cerakoted from FDE to black. When I received my rifle back the cerakoge finish was fantastic. It blends perfectly with the rest of the rifle. The overall feel of the rifle has improved. Everything feels a bit tighter than before, like it came from a manufacturer. Definitely recommend.

Had my first upper assembled and inspected by Alex and the team and could not be happier. Their attention to detail is impressive and they kept me informed and answered any questions I had throughout the process. You will not be disappointed.

I have been going to trajectory arms for small services for a little while. However after having them assemble a complete upper for me I will be going nowhere else. They even let me bring in my personal lower to test fire the gun.
Everything has performed phenomenally and the owner was very easy to work with. I left the shop with a full gauge report on my gun so in the future I can see how things are wearing as well.
I have been to subpar gunsmiths in the past and I have always left frustrated and often with my components looking worse than when I brought them in.
I can truly trust my life to the rifle Alex and Reeve assembled for me and I will not be going to any other gun smith.

They took care of every minute detail, gave me insight on how the upper was assembled when sent in, and sent it back functioning perfectly. It may be pricey to some but for a rifle that you will trust your life in it is invaluable.
