FCD GBF Gas Block .750″

In general, gas blocks have gone the way of the rest of the industry, focusing on looks as well as weight and cost reduction. As a result, we have seen all kinds of failures from a part that should be a relatively simple block of metal.

The FCD GBF gas block challenges this trend.

Designed from the ground up for durability, the GBF is made from 4140 alloy steel and heat treated to give you the strongest low profile block possible. Material is removed in areas deemed non-critical to lighten it up, but still retains all of its strength.

The GBF holds tighter tolerances and coated with manganese phosphate to allow a tighter seal between itself and the gas tube and barrel. This leads to a more efficient gas system and less build up to break away in case of removal.

The FCD GBF gas block also features a semi blind gas tube hole which simplifies alignment during installation, but still allows you to drive the gas tube out with a 3/32″ punch if needed.

The bosses on either side allow for easier alignment and installation of a coil or taper pin. The set screw holes are .450″ apart which aligns with an SLR dimple jig in case you want to dimple the barrel twice.

Includes two knurled head set screws and a gas tube roll pin. A 3/32″ wrench is required for installation.

We hold our gas tubes to the same tight tolerances that the GBF are held to. If you want the most efficient gas system possible, a tightly fitting gas block and gas tube are the first place to start. Use one of our gas tubes for best fitment.
